Brenan and Jay were married on October 4, in Benton Harbor Michigan. Their ceremony and reception were both held at The Blue Dress Barn. Which is such a great location, if I had known about it before Andy and I were married I would have seriously considered having our wedding there.
The weather was crisp, but you can’t really ask for much during October in Michigan. You never know what you are going to get! They were still able to have the ceremony outside which was perfect. Their ceremony was completely personalized and unlike any other we have seen before. You could tell that they really took the time to make the ceremony theirs, I think all couples should think a little more outside of the box when it comes to the ceremony. Brenan and Jay definitely did.
Jay and his groomsmen were seriously the funniest group of guys I have ever met. Within 30 seconds of meeting them they had me laughing and another 2 minutes after that I was in tears! (It’s not a good idea to get a pregnant lady laughing that hard… it really hurt to laugh so hard!)
I have to say that I love that Brenan and Jay had all different kinds of pies as their centerpeices instead of cakes. Each pie also had it’s own topper and all of the toppers were different… I loved that! I’d like to make a whole post sometime later with all of the different pie toppers.
